Music is Out of This World Teacher Kit

Teacher Kit Details:

• Professionally Printed Motivation Game Board
• 2′ tall by 3′ wide
• Made from reusable heavy vinyl.
• The game pieces stick and re-stick to the board as students move them each week.  Includes 24 game pieces and teachers guide.  Order additional pieces separately.

Students complete their mission by practicing and completing goals set by the teacher to earn squares on the giant game board hung in the studio.

Visiting each destination only once, students must visit all of the planets, the sun, the moon, and the space station to earn all 11 cards during the year.  Each card features a QR code and link to a focused listening activity, and questions about the video.

Students will learn about the 7 movements of Holst’s The Planets. They will also learn theory concepts such as dynamics, ostinato, key signatures, tempo, time signatures, motifs, major and minor, applying each to their original composition about Pluto.  Upon completion, students earn a custom medal.

Because they choose their path in the game, students cannot easily see who is in the lead.  However, competitive students may be motivated to finish first and teachers may add a competitive aspect to the game by awarding a prize to the top finisher(s).
